Spring 2004 Pictures

A pierced heart pipe tomahawk. An enjoyable hawk to make, but I don't make many of them. For those of you who recognize the denim, that is a

" plain work coat " from Gohn Brothers - they specialize in plain and Amish clothing.

A custom hawk. The bowl is interesting - the base of the bowl is integrally forged (one piece) with the head of the hawk, the rest of the bowl is bronze.

William Clark carried a pipe tomahawk with a bronze bowl on the expedition.

Spanish Cross pipe tomahawk. One of the more popular styles I make.

English Smoothbowl. This one went to my friend Aaron Riley at Severtech Knives. He makes a great tactical knife. Pip always tries to get in the picture...

A Singman Hammerpoll. I originally named this hawk after the customer that sketched the design with his order...I wonder if he ever came back to the site and noticed...

A Rifleman pipe tomahwk. This one went to a gentleman who owns a BBQ restaurant in Florida. If I could have taken payment in BBQ I would have...one of my weaknesses.

A plains peace pipe tomahawk. I loved this one. It went to Austrailia.

Your typical Patriot with more hammer marks left than usual.

A patriot with lots of engraving. The blade is engraved " Ssgt C " and the handle sports two German silver ovals bearing " 17 Liberty 76" and " To your arms soldier and feight " The latter is an inscription found on a tomahawk used during the Revolutionary War. Went to Idaho.

A pretty cool Missouri War Hatchet. Lots of engraving. Merriwether Lewis really slammed the design in his journal but conceded that it was a very popular style. It is absolutely worthless as a weapon but is very important historically.

Hannah and Ryan at DeSoto Falls on Lookout Mountain near our hometown. Hannah likes hiking.

Hannah also likes playing with her toys...

And Hannah likes cake. This is her first birthday cake.
